McDonald’s x Create Your Taste

The Campaign

McDonald’s Canada is proud to be one of the world’s leading food service retailers. From coast to coast, they have been serving up delicious choices to more than 2.5 million people in over 1,400 locations every day.

To introduce its all-new “Create Your Own Burger” concepts and digital ordering kiosks to Quebec, McDonald’s partnered with Narcity to create a custom sponsored campaign targeted to our demographic.

Our job was to create excitement and build awareness of the “Create Your Taste” service.

Our strategy

Narcity Media and McDonald’s created 2 editorials and a complete social campaign all centered around the new features and services offered.

The editorial “Tu pourrais gagner un repas gratuit chez McDonald’s et créer ton burger sur mesure très bientôt!” aimed to create a buzz around a Gold Card contest in Montreal followed by “J’ai soupé avec Jérémy Demay et voici ce qui s’est passéwhich recapped the VIP experience of contest winners.

To further build the hype and excitement around the contest with Jeremy Demay, the Narcity Montreal team took part in a meet & greet with the comedian in a local McD’s and documented the entire experience on Snapchat for followers to enjoy.

Key take-aways

Through organic social storytelling with Narcity, McDonald’s successfully created buzz, awareness and social conversation around its “Gold Card” contest as well as their CYT launch with our audience.

With over 16K total views and over 262K people reached on Facebook, the campaign successfully facilitated social conversation and created a major buzz!
